Rovlet Wrap Dress

Hey there pretty ladies!! I am so excited to be partnering with Rovlet to bring you this sweet little wrap dress they just released! If it has polka dots and ruffles, GIMME! And, should I mention the dress is only $26?! It comes in brown, black, navy and this darling pink color that I chose that I thought would be perfect all year round and honestly matched my skin better. The belt is detachable so if you wanted to maybe make the belt into a hair or purse scarf, then add your own belt, that would be a good idea. Also, the wrap is already connected on the inside so you don’t have to worry about an extra button or falling out if the belt comes untied. The material is really soft, silky feeling almost.

SIZING AND FIT: I sized up to a medium because I didn’t want it to fit tight and I have a bigger chest and hip area. I think it fits perfectly and with great length. I would go by the sizing chart, because according to the chart, the medium was the right fit for me anyway. For reference, I’m 5’0, 125 lbs.

STYLING: I am a minimalist when it comes to jewelry. I used to not be that way, but I all really wear are earrings and necklace, sometimes! And of course, my wedding ring. You can’t see my earrings but they are tiered beaded earrings from Walmart that I couldn’t find on their site, but they’re a neutral color. The pink mules I already had from Target matched this dress perfectly! For a dressier look, I paired it with my nude block heels, also from Target. Both pairs of shoes are less than $25.

Leopard Print Dress 3 Ways

If you’ve been following along with me for a while, you know that one of my favorite things to do is take one piece and style it multiple ways. To me, you get more use out of your clothes that way and when you can make a dress look like a skirt, you don’t have to buy a skirt. It’s just a good way to save money and make your wardrobe go further, rather than just wearing the piece just the way it was meant for. I found this leopard print dress for SIX DOLLARS at JC Penney in the clearance section. They were having a sale, then there was an extra percentage off of clearance so I scored big time! Right now, it’s on clearance for less than $16 and and is fully stocked in all sizes XS-XXL. It’s perfect now for summer and will carry you into Fall with a cardigan, then into winter with tights and boots. Now, that’s what I’m talking about!

IMG_3908

The first look is just a simple dressier version of the dress with some block heels and gold earrings. This would be good be the perfect date night look!

IMG_3964

This is probably my favorite look because, I’m pretty much obsessed with dresses and sneakers! I love that the white tee underneath gives it an even more casual vibe. This would be a perfect look for the movies or shopping or any weekend activity! These scrunch back sneakers are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. They are only $9 and come in about 7 colors.

Lastly, I took a fun pink and red sweater and knotted it to make the dress look like a skirt! Any color sweater or graphic tee would do because leopard print is a neutral right?! I topped it off with some white mules that have been out of stock forever, but any neutral shoe or boot would be cute! Remember, I’m just giving you tips, you do yo thang honey!

Now on to find my next versatile piece! I hope you enjoyed this! Anything you would like to see, just send a message my way!

First is the most flattering one piece swimsuit from Blooming Jelly. Probably my fave from this season and I always get so many compliments when I wear it.

By far the best seller on my blog is this jumpsuit. There’s a reason this is so popular. Very versatile and comfy and less than $24! I love it because a lot of jumpsuits don’t work for me because I’m only 5’0 and this was is great for petite and tall gals!

Also pictured is my backpack purse. It’s been so perfect for me when traveling and shopping. Comes in 10 colors and is less than $20!

This dress has such a fun print and pockets! Comes in about 14 other prints and less than $19. My Gucci dupe belt is also an Amazon find and less than $20!

Let’s talk sneakers! I can’t pass up a cute pair of sneakers, especially to wear with a dress, AHHH my fave! Adidas are quickly becoming my new favorite athletic shoe because they have so many styles to choose from, like street style, to running and working out. I wear the white pair (top) with dresses, and the pink athletic pair to work with my scrubs and with leggings or shorts on the weekends. The blush Converse dupes at the bottom, I scored for $10 at Payless, man I miss that place! Blush is a fun neutral color to have if you don’t want to go with the classic black. I also wear these with dresses and skirts.

PRO TIP: I always buy my Adidas or any other athletic shoe on Amazon or Ebay because they are wayyy cheaper (no tax on Ebay), and they’ll be there in 2 days anyway with Prime.

Summer Shorts on Repeat!

Okay gals! It’s almost officially summer time and if you are anywhere near the Deep South like me you are already feeling feeling the HEAT!! I basically keep 4-5 pairs of shorts on rotation all summer. I’m super picky about shorts and that’s probably why. I don’t want my booty hanging out in the back or constantly pulling on them in the front or my love handles hanging out on the sides, haha!!  AND because I’m cold 90% of the time and I wear scrubs most of my life. BUT, I am obsessing over a good pair of high waisted mom shorts, let me tell you!! These are my faves and I own all but one pair.

Lets break it down and I’m going to start at the top with the cuffed denim shorts from Old Navy. I could sleep in these, they are so comfortable. They have enough stretch but don’t stretch when you wear them. I give them an A++!

Everyone needs a pair of white shorts for summer. These high waisted white chinos are perfect for a more dressed up look for date night or with a dressier blouse. No stretch to these and they did shrink in the wash which I needed.

Next are the high waisted mom shorts. These are my most favorite pair of shorts of all time! I’ve worn these so many times since I’ve gotten them it’s embarrassing. No stretch and fit right at the waist, and the distressing is perfect. Target is really killing it with their shorts and these are only $15!!

Back to Old Navy, because they have such a variety and their shorts are just so good! These twill shorts are so soft and comfy and make for the perfect summer casual outfit or just bumming around the house.

The Old Navy boyfriend style denim shorts fit like a dream! I actually don’t own these and I’m not sure why. I love the length and distressing and color!

I cant leave out one of the newest, and of my favorite trends that I hope is here to stay, the paper bag waist. These belted paper bag denim shorts from Shein are adorable! They look super cute with a fitted tank or body suit and are all the rage this summer!

Last but not least are the white denim shorts from Old Navy. I have had these shorts for years and they will never go out of style and are still in stock on their site. They go with everything, are super comfortable and have just enough stretch.
